What model stereo?
 

What was the model of clarion CD player that came stock in a 1997 272.

The reason I ask is cause im getting ready to upgrade a friends stereo system with amps and such but hes not sure if the head unit has front and rear preouts on it. As a matter of fact hes not even sure of the model. the boat is in storage and im trying to put together a list of stuff he needs to purchase.

I figure if I can find out the model the internet will tell me the rest.

I cant remember the model number, but my 97 272 only had pre-outs for 1 amp. It only had a tape player in it though. I went with the new Clarion that comes in Baja's now, I had to pull the closeable face mount out to install, but its well worth the money in the long run.

Panasonic has a kick ass line of receivers for the money. They aren't waterproof but I've been running one for 7 summers no problem. the cq 8300 sereies is a great bang for the buck for around $200 . They have f,r,and sub 5volt pre outs and 50w per channel.

My friend does not have a problem with the functionality of his current Clarion CD-player and does not want to replace it at this time. So really just need the actual model number for the factory CD player.
