Banana Running Videos Here
Met up with Air Dog this past weekend. I've always been a fan of these boats, but this thing is just flat out menacing. I joked he should put a skull and cross bones on the engine ---but I really think the more I look it, is just might fit.
Cool boat. Nice guys. 1st video http://media.putfile.com/Banana155 2nd video http://media.putfile.com/Banana271 |

Those are great Andrew... :drink:
In the second photo, I am telling the Coasties that there intimidating machine gun on the bow is no match for my Banana Boat. I then grabbed my flare gun and took off shooting... :blaster: It was a short high speed chase, since those Orion emergency kits only give you like three rocket bullets... :D |
Re: Banana Running Videos Here
Very cool Air Dog. How fast does it go?

I can't get those videos up, but I'd really like to see them

DamDonzi:
I am guessing this is what your boat used to look like? |
G-man:
Not fast enough... Max speed with the 24p prop is 68mph. I am ready to move up to twin 250's. My close friend of many years builds engines. He is offering to wrench for me when I race, but he doesn't do outboards. He wants to put a 550hp I/O in Greenie, the "Spoiled Banana". I will have to talk to my team when the time comes on which way to go... I am selling my white Banana in the spring in order to fund my next project... :drink: |

Re: Banana Running Videos Here
I understand the molds for the 3rd gen boats have been corrected
you better check w Chatim, Top Banana says the boats chine walk and roll over at 89 mph, Chatims says there is a mean hook in the original molds. You may need to do some hull blueprinting and fix the hook. Evan |
Re: Banana Running Videos Here
Thanks Evan.
I am not sure if Jeb took out the hook, but either way, the hull will be flipped over and blue printed prior to completing restoration. |
