Re: Brand New 1988 Banana Boat - $8995
Let me clear this up a bit. I don't know if it is rotted, but since it was full of water like mine used to get, I wouldn't be suprised if it did have issues. If someone is interested in it, I would recommend giving it a very close inspection. It may be fine, I'd just be careful.
Where did you find it at Airdog?

too slow, Look in the year & number thread for some more pics. I think it was hull number 39? If I remember right it had the rear tank in it so that would at least need to come out to make it an I/O. But I don't know about the stringer layout. I have more pics of it too. I'f you would like me to email them to you let me know.

Top Banana or Chatim will answer this better, but no the stringers are different.
An outboard boat has wider stringers to help support the weight that is hanging off the transom.
An I/O boat has narrower stingers to help support the weight of the engine. Approx 30 inches wide.
Hard to say what stringer set up it has since as far as I know, Banana never made an outboard boat without a engine well.
Yet it has the rear tank, which you would find only on the outboard version.
Only way to know is to measure it.
The current owner told me it was 11,000 with the trailer if your interested.
