I bought a Superboat today

Hi Guys,
My Current Banana path ended this week as I had the hull of #14 surveyed and the report came back that all of the stringers and bulkheads are wet, not rotted, but all wet.
The transom is questionable, and the list goes on.

There is a local '89 24' Superboat w Johnson 300 hp 4.0L, that I'm picking up tomorrow.
Not perfect, but pretty nice.

Thanks for welcoming me to the Banana Comunity and I will stay involved if welcome

Thanks
Evan

What Stormrider said - that's one Nice SB!! Best of luck to you!

Evan - I am sorry that your banana search ended up that way. I guess Xio didn't keep that full black cover on like in the pics. What a shame that someone took care of it all these 20 something years only to have the last owner neglect to keep it dry...what a waste.
Well you are welcome to take a ride in the new banana boat anytime you are in FL - let me know. Please keep us posted with more Superboat pics as you fix her up...

Looks like a real nice boat Evan. And best of luck with it. Sorry to hear about #14 but I definitly know why you made the choice you made.

I'm not dissing Banana construction.
This was a 78' hull and I have confidence in the lay up.
I just don't want to do the work to peel the glass and dry out and reglass the stringers, and cap the transom.

I don't have anywhere to put it to work on it right now anyway.
it ain't going in my driveway

I'll stay active on the list and look forward to seeing the 24 and 24 Banana at the Seattle Show, even if I have to work the booth myself.
