Found an old race boat yesterday
I was showing a boat in Newburyport, Mass yesterday and jammed in the corner of a small boat yard was a "wooden" Cat race boat.
She has been eaten away by the elements over the years, but looked very unique. It had twin I/O's and huge engine hatches. It said "FLAP JACK" on the side with a number 45. Charlie, did you ever race against this boat? |
Re: Found an old race boat yesterday

Re: Found an old race boat yesterday
No I don't, but next time I am down there I will snap a few.
It had a triple stepped hull. No engines, No rigging or anything... |
Re: Found an old race boat yesterday
guys even if its for sale you don't want it. Its been sitting there for 10 years or so barely covered. I thought it might have been Gordon Stockwood's old boat from the 80's, I'll call him and see what he knows.

Re: Found an old race boat yesterday
- its a 1980 and its wood. was just told that Betty Cook owned it originally and it said Kaama on the side(makes sense). was told to stay away unless in need of firewood.

That must be the one....
Looked bad ass anyway. Colors are black and white. Too bad people don't cover boats... :( |
