Re: Team Banana
I think it is the same boat.I know the rules changed allowing twin outboard vees to drop down from B Class to A Class. It would be great to see someone put this boat back out on the race course.OPA's Class 6 is a based on maximum of 70MPH/26FT.I think "Spoiled Banana" would be a great Class 6 boat as well if it were rigged with twin 200's.

The classes did change. My race boat had an A-57 underneath the F-57 number on both sides of the forward part of the hull. Seems like it was 1993 when the rules changed. Jeb would know better. Merry Christmas Banana Heads. :drink: AD |

I just found a few old phots of a Banana race boat. The pictures were taken in July 1993 at Point Pleasent NJ race. Its the Red boat "Gone Bananas" with F-7 designation. I also found a picture of it marked F-1 with a Johnson outboard, which maybe from the following year. I will try and get the pictures scaned in this weekend.

Hey Chris
Sorry I never got around to putting "F-1" on there as well. Remember the history of that hull. 1993 USOffshore World Champion 1993 USO National Champion 1993 USO Northeast Champion 1993 USO Central Champion. Enjoy. |
