Charlie, would this be one of yours?
Not the best full length pics.
Nice hardware.
3man sitdown.

Correct me if I am wrong but that boat was built in New Bedford MA brt i believe the molds were then sold to what was left of signature boats in the early 90's. The last i saw of the molds they were cut in half by someone who was not happy with the owner Mike B. I think it has a 7'6 beam little smaller than the banana's. Charlie may have even more history on these boats since they were from the New England.

I think brt stood for Bluewater Race Team

anyone had any luck, or have any information good or bad about extension boxes on a banana 24? My x dimension was raised 2" from the trs to the bravo conversion. Myco, stellings, mercruiser, did I miss any ???

I am sure air dog or top banana will give you the answer you are looking for. I could not even guess

That bolster looks like "Thanks to my wifes new sewing machine"....

But the rest of the boat looks like a real nice thing!

On the banana web site there is page ..."Should you buy a banana?. On that page is a link called ...History of the 24.

www.bananaboatco.com

Follow that link and you can find out about the source of this 24 foot 7 foot wide boat and the many, many other derivatives of the same design.

I remember this company in Mass, they were around for awhile, but never did anythng nationaly, like racing or boat shows etc.

Charlie, is the 24 ready for test runs?
I'll be down mid next week?

I always ran outboards on my Banana's so I wouldn't have the answer, but as far as I know, there has never been a 24' Banana with an extension box.

I think it would be great if you had the 380k planes.

Set the X dim at 17-1/2" so that the prop shaft is 4-1/2" to 5" below the V of the bottom. If you install an extension box raise it 1".
Good Luck with your project!:cool-smiley-027:
How about a thread with some pics?:D
