Anti-Slip Surface On My Deck
My question is can I sand those areas off the deck as I'm going to paint the boat and I would rather have a smooth and glossy look. Seems like the small raised boarder that surrounds it isn't too thick, I would think that it would also need to be made flush with the rest of the surface area?

The new tooling has a smooth finish vs the anti skid of the old boats. I have seen some owners clean off the anti skid. I don't know exactly how they did it, but they were able to accomplish a smooth look. |

Thanks to Airdog, I bought his Scarab, I'll be able to boat this summer and can take my time doing my restore of the Banana as a boat of its quality deserves not to be rushed on its restoration! I should have it nearly finished by this fall. |
That anti skid boat looks great...... Charlie

Thanks, Joe:drink: The old ones when they are repainted are Awlgrip. If you look at the old boat we used to make the plug, that black and white is gel coat. See old boat under products, boats for sale..projects on the site. www.bananaboatco.com |
Top B,
Thank you very much...Just trying to get it all together the right way... joe :drink: |
Top Banana, is there any specs, such as pressure, tip size, and # of coats, that you can pass on? I'm hoping on getting to the paint stage by some time in Sept..
