Well it is nice to know that when my friends at Mercury give me some inside scoop, it may take awhile, but the truth comes out. Now who is ready to order a 24 or 28 with one of the new 400 R outboards from Mercury?

With the new layups now, weight will be down and speeds will be up....then add in new prop designs and speeds will be up for sure.

I have one party who wants to set a new speed record for the single engine class for the Around Long Island race next year. At this time he is undecided between outboard or a big sterndrive.

Another past customer also spoke of a 24 with a new 400R. But he wants to sell his present boat first. That would give us two new layups to spread the cost. Anybody else out there for a 24 or 28?

Let's hope that this won't take as long to come around as my last inside scoop......BUT, I have heard from some people who would know, that the new 500HP outboard was almost ready for this years' show in Miami.

I can't even give it away by asking you to guess what color the motor is since they all have options for many colors.

Actually we don't care who comes out with it first......just release it........ as I have 24 and 28 footers in need of such an option to our engine lineup.
