White with gold an black interior, Motor needs work, Any guess's on what it's worth? Charlie, what year's are from you? Trying to check stinger's,transom, this weekend!

Top Banana 10-01-2010 03:45 PM

84's were after our time....BUT, if it has lasted to this point it is probably pretty good.

The really bad ones broke up and delaminated many years ago.

Just look for any signs of delamination anywhere or water in any of the wood, especially the transom.

What happened to you and that Sutphen for the Around Long Island Race??

When they are parked next to a 7 foot beam 24 footer, they look really big.

Bigger is a much better feeling when your out on the ocean...way out.

one of my favorite features of my seahawk was grab rails built into windshield..that would work great on Banana..almost lost a friend once ..he was standing in between bolsters blasting thru inlet look over and he was gone ..he went right out back and was spawled out hanging onto cushion over motor at about 60..owww the good old days..

The gelcoat splinters comes off and then the layers of glass start to shred like someone peeled them like a potato.

It is mainly caused by not getting the resin to really soak into the glass fiber when it is being laid up......if you look inside at glass fiber as it is being laid up, you can see air bubbles ...if those aren't all squeezed out and the resin pushed through the fibers, then sooner or later, the air bubble will pop and start to open up.

quicklt1 10-02-2010 10:43 AM

well gues i am lucky never seen it..thanks

Theres a hull that looks real similar to that in Bristol CT. Maroon with white deck.

Could be anything I guess but has that look for sure( squadron 27, banana or something like that). Its asit down short free board boat 24 to 27 Ft long, Been sitting covered there for 15 years or so. everyonce in a while I see them building a new cover for it.LOL

Not sure if it has ever moved or not. Looks MINT though.
