-Mike The CL ad lists it as $9500 without a trailer, $12,000 with. I believe the ebay auction is a $10,000 reserve with the trailer. |

And yes I saw the Excalibur in NJ (seen it about a month and a half ago), Haven't been able to get a day to go look at her. |
just to clarify - this is NOT #14. #14 is a yellow outboard in San Fran. this is definitely an early one but this is one that was made under lic agreement so the #'s are messed up - they made more and didn't pay my dad the royalties. unfortunately many like this in the 80's.....

Another point about those early boats.....please check the fuel tank....many developed leaks. A surveyor and a pressure test should answer any questions.
This is old enough that the tank may have already been replaced. BTW starting in August, the Banana website will have a "Banana Boats for sale" section added. Costs for Banana owners trying to sell their boats will be $25 for 100 days. |
Stay away from this 80 "Banana"....unless you like ripping out and replacing stringers and such......it is a rotten banana....very rotten....and they know it. Starboard engine stringer is ONLY held in pla e by the engine, ripped out of bulkhead completely and is listing 20 degrees verticallly alo g it's length. And lots more rot is easily front from bow to. stern
I am glad they enticed me to make the 12 hour drive one way to see it.......Lap Dancer was only 5 miles away...at least was...now that 78 Cigarette 24 is right behind me on the road to WNC |
Wow ..thats my old boat from 20 years ago..It was a black hull originally, I wasnt sure but the plate in the the engine confirms it I put that in. It originally was a 454 trs, that was counter rotated ( why i never new) I have pics somewhere me and brother and harry bailey(baileys marine in oceanside) split the deck from hull to redo fuel tank(cause didnt want to cut floor) that boat WAS a beast..hope someone restores it..
