Boat #2 - "banana split" resto
#34
Hard to believe the attention this boat gets at the waterfront restaurants....must be the plain paint job and old school look.
Great resto....well documented also for those other owners that would like the new deck look and the refurbishment of the bulkheads or any other wood inside.

Glass the deck to the hull...all the way around. Very Important safety step
Back in the days this boat was originally built, the decks were just screwed together - only the race boats were glassed hull to deck. If you have an old boat constructed the old way (deck held by screws), you really want to glass it together all the way around. If you stuff it at high speeds in rough seas, the last thing you want is the deck ripping off....
(note holes in cockpit for access to glass in here)
