Here it is from the front.

I took these pictures in the wintertime about 2 years ago.

It looked like it was painted, (not original gel coat), but it was nicely done. Didn't see any scratches or cuts anywhere.

If that's Beep Beep it's on Lake Winnisquam, I saw it in the water there at the beginning of Nov.! Twin Yammi's., still look's good!!

Air Dog, I think they were 200's , boat usually is put away at a house across from it's dock if I remember.

He must have sold it quickly after I was out on it then. I was on it in late august early september? It had twin OMC 235's on it then. He only wated 12.5 for it then.

About the setback. I don't think he would have put that much on it if it wasn't the best setup. He wasn't just any Jim. He was Jim Ginetta who used to race the "Obsession" Banana and the infamous Hell's Banana. He also worked for Banana LTD. in Port Edgewood. It did have the step down cabin and the usual stress cracks in the cockpit. The hull was painted. It must have been done right before you took those pics Chris. It wasn't put in the water after it was painted until we asked to take a look at it this past season.

Tommy when I went to look at the "Bottoms Up" Banana I talked to the service manager while I was there not the sales weasel. If you are serious about buying it they will make sure it is functioning well enough to be put right in the water when you pick it up. At least thats what he told me for what its worth. Hope it helps.

I believe it was an 88. I didn't buy it because I already had an offer in and a deposit on the one I have now. If we had seen Jim's boat a week earlier like we were supposed to we would have bought it. But when Jim kept stalling in order to get the boat up and running we figured it was not going to happen. So we saw ours and liked it, made a very low offer. The dealer called us with counter offers three seperate times and we didn't budge from our offer. We were hoping that they wouldn't take it so that we could get Jim's, but they did and the rest is history.

But I would buy it if I were still looking for one. I can't see Jim switching to yammi's though since he told us he had a barn full of OMC motors and parts. The motors on it said 200 on the cavers but they were really 235's. I guess the water cops on Winissquam would always hassle him about the boat. Since it's only rated for 400 they would fine him. So he switched covers to look legal.

Hard to say Tommy. It "looks" OK. It is steel so it has some rust and if I remember the tires show some dry rot in the sidewalls. So you would most likely want to replace them before a long trip like that. And who knows about the bearings. I wish I had the trailer myself. but I don't live as far away as you and my trailer needs new bearings anyways. Would you need the trailer once you got the boat home?

I have the same trailer under my Banana.

Custom welded to match the bottom of the boat perfectly.

All you have to do is get the boat remotely close to the trailer when pulling it out, doesn't matter if it is sideways and it will striaten itself out and find it's way on.

One downside, it's not aluminum or galvanized...........Yikes....

I use mine exclusively in the salt so I am getting an aluminum I-Beam trailer.

If your not going to use it in the salt, then I would say refurbish it. It will be worth the effort.
