Ray, at Port Edgewood is this biggest ****ing ******* on the planet. I don't know if he is still there. Back in 1997 I bought a centerconsole model locally from a dealer in Rhode Island. They were asking $18k at the time. I did some research, got in touch with Ray, Ray said he knew the boat well and thought that $18k was a good deal. I bought the boat. 2 years later, I decided to sell it becuase I wanted to move up to a larger boat. I had made some improvements to the baot and put it for sale at $17k. One of the potential buyers did his research and also got intouch with Ray about my boat and Ray told him that he would not pay anymore than $11k for my boat.

No, I did not name it. It was an all white hull, Light blue canvas on the T-Top and vinyl. Twin Merc 200's. If I remember correctly it was a 1991. It was really was a piece of crap though. The boat only had about 300 hours on it and transom was soft.

Jpm540: I am sorry your banana did not live up to par. When Port Edgewood made them, they changed the original lamination schedule that my dad learned from Aronow. The quality was not there. I share your dilemma - my own boat is an '88 that was built by them - the gelcoat is so thin on parts of my deck you can see the glass - no quality control. My hull seems like it was made at a different time than the deck - I had to do some glasswork on the deck... The new ones will definitely be quality built.
