Re: epirb/lojack
WOW!!!!! EPIRBS work, however they will not initally know the boat is stolen. The coasties did not have my info at hand, that comes from SARSAT in Beltsville MD (registers EPIRBS) EPIRBS Only work when a boat is sinking or you actavate it
Epirbs only they are uprighted Rick OSG |
Maryland Mark, check oput ACR's EPIRB's -online consumers marine electronics .
They have the personal EPIRB's that are about 400-500 I will be purchasing the internal GPS cat 2 model. I believe it's around 695.oo This one does not have the hydrostatic release (doesn't deploy from case when water contacts) it's a manualy activated unit but also activates when it makes contact with water. I use to have to 406 version however the newer internal gps models are accurate to within yards whera as the 406's have about a 2 mile search radius:eek: . That's a long way offshore when in distress (needle in a hay stack) |
I sell a GPS device that will allow you to track your boat from the internet 24/7 anywhere in the world that you can get a Cellular signal !
