45' Donzi Recovered!!

Months ago I reported that Harry Blustein's Donzi was stolen from Chief Engines. Tonight I am happy to report that the boat has been recovered and the new engines are still in it!

I will give more information as I can confirm what I've been told.

Yep. it's true. The Donzi was recovered from South Miami intact! The props were even there! Aside from needing a massive professional cleaning and detailing, three new ignition switches and some cabin carpeting, she's all there. The batteries were charged enough for the computer scan to confirm the thieves never fired the motors.

Finally a happy ending!

The police used a ton of fingerprint dust and lifted prints. Hopefully they can find a match in their computers. Chances are if these criminals were caught before, they are in their database.

So what do you think they were going to do with the boat being that everything was still there?

Castro wanted One last ride on a Go Fast before his days are up and placed an order. I remember reading an article in Motor Boat and Sailing years back that the Cuban militia had high jacked a large sportfish that was seen later with Castro trolling in the back off the Cuban coast.

I believe that Boat Was a Striker Sportfish.
Made a beautiful ad campaign, not sure if it was commercial or underground, but it went Something like,, when you can have any sportfish in the world,, you choose Striker, and showed an imposter castro, fishing it. Strikers are incredible boats though.
