Dang Lofty! you should know this trick by now, no pun intended. And BTW, who gives a chit, if what you are saying is factual -- Why hide!

The Big Scotty mess went on in late Nov.

Which other ones??
Must be a bad month for boaters - everything starts to blow up.
Sorry for all of you missing $$ and parts, You deserve restitution.

I sure hope Fred makes good on it if all the allegations are true.

You make an interesting point about November. Its also when late filers get their suprise tax bill.

While its not a good idea to keep customers and creditors in the dark from a customer service standpoint. It is a good idea to keep them in the dark from a failing business/bankruptcy standpoint. Silence is golden............ I've seen creditors knock off 70%, just by not talking or saying anything. I've no idea if he is headed that way or not, but thats the way it smells. Just my .02.

So if there's absolutely no way to communicate with them what's there to do????

I guess I better have my friend cancel his credit card and get a refund for my gift certificate.... I tried calling, emailing etc. but there's no way for me to get in touch, there's not much left for one to do.....

So in all fairness we have to protect ourselves right?

Rob. Trying to catch up with you about your Whipples, did you get my email?

There's probably endless lessons to learn here ... that being a great guy is no guarantee of being a successful businessman ... that offering low, low prices might not be the best way to stay in business ... that popularity is no substitute for customer service ... you name it.

But the one that sticks, at least with me? Just because you had a good experience with a business does not mean someone else could not have had a bad one with the same business. How many times, especially recently, has someone with even a polite inquiry about Trick Marine been "shouted down," if you will, by Trick's supporters?

Loyalty is a wonderful thing. Blind loyalty is simply that, blind.

Told you there was more to this than you guys knew...

Sucks for everyone involved.
