Default Charity Whaler Stolen in the Keys......

this would most likely be an annivesary whaler which would have a light blue gel coated interior with a white hull, white rub rail and white steering wheel. Most likely it would have a 40 HP 4 stroke Mercury motor.

15,000 boat being raffled for charity stolen
KEY WEST, Fla. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a $15,000 boat waiting to be raffled off to benefit a hospital has been stolen.

The boat, a 13-foot-3-inch special edition 2008 Boston Whaler, was reported stolen Friday from outside Mariner's Hospital in Tavernier, where it had been parked. A boat store in Islamorada had donated it to the hospital's foundation, which was charging $100 for raffle tickets to win the boat.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys at 1-800-346-TIPS.

That took some balls to steal right infront of the hospital. I bet it is someone who works at the hospital.

The other brillant move is that it is a special edtion Whaler with a bright blue interior gel coat (like the old ones) and a white rub rail/steering wheel so the boat stands out significantly from a standard 13. This was hull #299 of 300 so the boat is rare and short of a repaint/new wheel + rub rail it will be unusable to the thief.

A standard Whaler would blend right in..... The charity theft is a whole other issue that will bring further investigation.

There is no way that's the boat, way to much information given to be a stolen boat and the stolen one was #299 this is number 149. They should however post the hull# and motor # to help find the stolen one. We have one in our showroom if anyone want's to purchace one!! I hope they find the a-hole who stole it!!!

One of the pictures does show the 50th anniversary #149 badge. Earlier post said the missing boat was #299.

Weird thing is we are a Boston Whaler dealer up in northern Michigan and were told by the factory they were only going to make 150 of these boats and then ended up building 166 cause of demand. I don't know how or why they said 300 were built? Does anybody know the number on the stolen boat for sure?
