No, I did not get the gaskets, or a refund check that has cleared yet.

I'm glad for you you paid for gaskets and not drives.

I will say that Mercury has kind of helped kill a few of the guys that specialized in splitting engine packages. It used to be that a dealer could purchase for 1 price a complete engine/drive/transom kit. The price of the kit was substantially less than the total at dealer cost for all the individual pieces. Hence the street prices on the stuff were way less than dealer cost.

Currently Mercury is no longer selling packages (at least on the repower side). Everything is ala carte. So I think most of those smokin deals on the engines and drives are a thing of the past once the stuff everyone has sitting on the shelf is gone. I’m sure there will still be some OEM stuff on the street, but not like before.

I was contacted by them about a used Bravo 3. They told me they were in a jam and could I ship it while they sent the check. Stupid me shipped the drive. I am still waiting for payment. Every tiime I call, they tell me they are sending the check but that the guy I dealt with is no longer there. Nothing yet. Be careful who you deal with there. I chalked it up to stupidity and believing in a fellow OSOer.
