Just the opposite. Pro Roc in Brick n.j. built me two Wipple charged 509,s that have been bullet proof for 4 years of use now. I got my monies worth. But all that power does like to eat bravo's.

Leon Dereberry at Dereberry Performance Marine on Lake Texoma. He sold me a motor claiming it made 631 HP and put it in my boat. When we went to run the boat, it ran 2 mph faster then it did with the old 7.4 that came in the boat and it had 990 hours on that motor. I complained and Leon had an excuse for everything for his CYA. After several months and hundreds of excuses, I pulled the motor out and took it to another place to have a dyno done. They did 2 dyno runs on 2 different dynos. The motor made 517 HP on the first dyno and 518 on the second dyno...which according to my math...is a long way off from 631 HP. The guys at the dyno did show me what he probably did to fudge the numbers. When they did some trick crap to show me what he probably did...it was a mirical...the motor made 635 HP. The guy is a TOOL and a coward...so people beware.

Bummer Sonic, nothing worse that getting screwed.
Seems an aweful waste of a nice shop and fine machinery to build a substandard product.

I had a small block built by a guy named Dave Smith at a place called precisioned speed. It lasted all of 4 hours before melting into an abyss- The engine was a month late to boot.
6 weeks of dodging my calls I drive over and the place went out of business. They guy had a great rep for oldsmobile work.

Pslonaker- you are gaining a reputation for building some excellent engines. Whatever you are doing its working.

Uncle Dave

Thank you Uncle Dave. I have many 540 motors out there...all running strong and I do not charge an arm or a leg for them. All the internals are what I consider the best that money can buy.
