A good friend had his Activator taken by the Marshalls. The guys that sold him the stolen boats are posting on this board. The boat was actually a 05 that had been revined to an 08. They would take race boats and report them stolen, collect the insurance money and then resell the boats at a later time. What a shame, my friend is out a ton of money and these scumbags wont help him out. Thanks

I don't see why you're posting your FRIENDS situation. Sounds like a bad move unless he asked you to do this.

I remember hearing something about this. I was under the impression that the guy who sold your buddy the boat didn't know that it was "stolen", but I guess you are implying that the the Seller was the one who reported it stolen, then at a later date resold the boat (after already collecting the insurance $$)?

Either way your buddy is the innocent guy that was screwed out of a lot of money and I hope that he is able to recover that.

He wont get the money back. The guy knew what was up. He did the same thing with a skater that never existed. It was just a paper boat. Never made just had a title and insured it, reported it stollen , collected the money , then got caught. Now they are all going down again. I believe there are six boats total. My friend was threatened on this board thatas why he wont post.

listen it is not BS. The guys were arrested by the federal government. period. It has been in the news and all over this site before. I am just not posting names due to the threats made against my friend and his family. If you have a problem with it read another post.

My friends name is Tim. He is a member on here. The owner of activator and a person by the name of Curtis. They are the two main players in this whole mess. We both live in NJ.

This might make for an interesting and informative story if it had any facts with it what so ever. So until there are some names, times, dates and facts this is all just a waste of our time and BS period!

There was a guy that bought an Activator (I guess it was SVL’s buddy) that was later confiscated because it was reported as stolen at an earlier point in time, prior to the date that he purchased the boat. Now the owner is out the money he put up on the boat. I don’t know any more then that and I don’t know who the players are, but if there is something fishy going on, people should know about it.
