Beware Tuff Trailer Inc.

I phoned and spoke to their salesman Armand. I asked if they made trailers for stepped hull boats. He said of course, all the time. So I told him I needed one for a 28ZX Donzi and asked if he needed any more info or if they had the specs on file. He asked for a couple pictures of the hull. I sent links to lots of hull photos, and a detailed drawing of the underside of the hull with all dimensions. Acouple weeks later the customer went to pick it up about an hour away and brought it back to my shop.. This is what showed up. This thing is huge, I parked it next to a 35 lightning and it was two feet bigger then that trailer. The Donzi is only 25' long. Anyway They've been jerking me around for a month now, keep saying they're coming to pick up this trailer, asked for drawings again, building a new trailer blah blah blah. They suck!! Now my customers boat is on my trailer and I can't get my boat out of the water and I have to keep moving this pos.. :angry-smiley-038:

that trailer looks like an absolute joke, I have never even heard of them. I did buy a venture trailer a few years ago for a 27 i have. And it is the biggest piece of trash I have ever towed, really poor quality(although I suppose i got what I paid for). Too bad

Anyone got a recommendation for a decent trailer under 5k? Thanks, Alex. :drink:

Call Loadmaster in Port Clinton, OH.

Hi-Tech marine in FL (sorry, it's a long way away from you) built a beautiful triple axel trailer for my buddy's 33' PowerPlay. Top notch construction and under 5k.

It's aluminum and you'll open a whole new market to resale if you sell your boat some day. Coastal buyers will consider the boat as opposed to if you have steel.

What happened to the fenders, they look bent??

It looks like a basic steel adjustable bunk trailer, no?

HaxbySpeed 07-08-2010 12:56 PM

That's how it came.. A low quality generic steel trailer..
Thanks for the suggestions, there's some good deals out there but I think the shipping would be a killer.. Their website says "quality for less" :grinser010:

Old Glory Trailers.... absolutely amazing quality and finish.

PS: Shipping is not killer. It'd probably cost you under $350 to ship an empty trailer anywhere in the country. Go to www.uship.com
