Sometimes you have no other options??

I know that when we towed up our Ultra to Nova for an event, It sat in front of my house the week prior and the week after the event. I did put a trailer tire anchorlock on, and a tongue lock. You got other suggestions?

People have boats behind their house all the time. What is the difference? It is not hard to steal a boat. I am surprised it does not happen more often.

Where did it say it was stolen in front of his house? Maybe that is just were the only pictures were taken.

Sucks bad either way.

Back of house a little better I think?Couple of bear traps around it:evilb:

BEAR TRAPS!!:grinser010: that would teach them huh!

bob_t 03-28-2011 08:38 PM

Remember the movie called "Robocop" ... I liked the security system in the car at the beginning of the movie .... now that is effectivity! Similar to bear traps, but no fuss and no evidence! :party-smiley-004:

idea./......leave it hooked to the tow vehicle at least.....rent a place in a fenced storage facility,....

UrbanDisturbance 03-29-2011 10:19 AM

See what happens when you try to save money and not buy insurance.

Wet-N-Wild 04-01-2011 09:19 AM

Who knows what the issue is but it is still a sad day for the family

Even if you have insurance, it doesn't mean you can buy another boat...

If mine gets stolen I can pretty well say I can't afford a replacement and I'm fully covered with only a $500 deductible.

This is why one needs an agreed value policy.

I'd say if your gonna leave your boat parked anywhere outside, especially on the street,, chain the tires and put 2 locks on them... I dont care how gated your community is ....etc......
