after talking to some old times i hear the stories and then do the research myself. from what i hear its been the same since the 80's. you ask around and you get the same story. these are the people to watch out for and the list is the same no matter who you talk to.

Because you own a Pantera you don't care that Pantera has had some significant issues with customers and creditors over the past 20 years and may screw existing or future customers ?

Why wouldn't the boating community attempt to protect fellow boats from potential losses and/or disappointment due to a manufacturer that has received significant number of court judgements to pay outstanding debts ?

I understand you protecting your brand, that is where the mistake is alwasy made. if a builder goes out of business from bad press owners of that brand think that their boat will be worthless.

i apologize this belongs in GD where the non pantera pwners can be warned.

my move to south florida has been so exciting. i met some go fast guys and then some more until i met one older retired smuggler who told me the rules of the road and showed me with a computer and a couple websites you could find out a lot of information, the boat builders all do the same thing. i am sorry to use one as an example but this particular one is transparent and the trail is so easy. since the others do the same things if we understnad one, we will understand them all.

the old smuggler said "its a bloodbath in south florida with this economy" i asked him if he were to buy a boat today what would he buy, he said with all thats going on there are only two, Cig or Skater. the othres are a crap shoot and this is no economy to be shooting craps in.

see you in GD, i am excited that i finally made it to the boating capital. the reason its the capital is that not only is there water and illegals to do the cheap labor the government in fl is so stupid and dont care that like the list above they can build steal, fold, new name, build, steal fold, and the bank account stays open while the company is folded. ia m going to show you how a boat company folded in fear of a pending lawsuit and then became active again4-5 years later but they were building the entire time and our dum asses were sitting here defending them on a forum. lets not be trolls lets learn their tricks and not let one more person get screwed.

Your missing my point . I'm not in the market for a new boat right now but when I am there's a couple of builders boats I'm interested in but before any money exchanges hand you can best believe I'm gonna do my homework in regards to their finance's , past build history ,and customer delivery satisfaction.. and there's gonna be a delivery date on paper with a guaranteed financial compensation if not completed by that date .. That being said I made my decision when I bought my current boat and there's enough info all ready out there for any potential buyers to be able to make their own decision without a bunch of new post being put up one after another ...

LOOK I subscribe to four threads , Pantera being one of them . the point of my comment was your not buying a Pantera . your mom your dad nor your best friend is buying a Pantera so if all your doing is trying to help some poor guy you've never met before then there are many better causes out there that will do greater good for a greater number of people ... And you will not F()ck up my OSO with the same BS that we've all heard over and over again ........................

I also did not notice that this was in the Pantera section, and I agree with you that it should be in the General or Beware section. In fact, I think there should be a sticky "Beware of pantera" at the top of the beware section forum

C'mon J, you have to admit 88Bullet has a point. This part of the forum is for Pantera owners that want to share experiences, get advice, etc. Just because we would rather see these type of threads in the beware forum doesn't make us flag wavers. It means we just want to come in this section and try to enjoy it without the drama.

it really is sad....as a former Pantera owner Jo and Pepe always made themselves available to help me set up my boat. I didnt buy a brand new boat, so I cant speak about their customer service or lack thereof as stated. With that being said, if i was purchasing a custom boat, A: I would not pay 100% upfront, I would give progress payments. B: I would obviously check the builders credibility and speak to previous owners, if possible. C: If I was crazy enough to buy a boat from a company with a bad rep, I would put the money in escrow and have released based on performance of build. If the builder isnt comfortable with those terms, RUN AWAY as fast as you can. As a contractor working for GCs, I rarely get any money up front. I usually have to wait 60 to 90 days to get paid. You should have capital onhand to build. Its too bad Pantera keeps getting caught up in this stuff. They really do make a nice boat.

I'm Not defending Pantera's business practice . I come to Pantera forum to talk with friends , look at their build progress , give advice , and have a good time with people that I have something in common with ( We own Pantera's ) .. Tired of all the new post with all the same BS over and over . If theres a thread or two talking $hit about them fine ! but nine (9) threads on the first page of the Pantera forum is ridiculous ...

You are right . There are a bunch of guys that want to yak about the boats that they do own.

The particular post that got me the most came from the last guy that actually got his boat when he knew that there were two guys behind him that we're getting stung.

Without looking back to check the exact wording it went like " can't wait to get out there and represent the brand well " or something to that effect.

You can be sure this builder will be hounded forever into never returning to screw around again, but as I said it should be done elsewhere.

I was just using Pantera as an example of how I learned from the locals how easy it is to find this info. It is very common practice for them to have similar names on many different companies so they can deposit your money in any of the accounts, if a boat co ask you to make the check out to just their name be careful

and FL is so messed up that you can open a business, go online at any time and change the principal names of the people and the type of business.

For example you are a boat manufacturer and you mess some people over so you change the names of the principals and the type of business it is and fold it, open a new one and keep going??????

If you take the time to study (15 mins) you can see that these might have ended up as aviation or furniture or automotive companies but thats not what they started as.

Small Boat Buildertry to get partners or investors and tell them they are going to get a free boat, etc. they take the cash, buy things in cash like cars and houses. In Florida they can not take a persons house even if they have a judgment against them, scammers favorite law thats why people steal money and move to Florida and buy a house. Usually put it in the wifes name only, never do things in the combo name that way you cant take it cause it is owned jointly and only a lien or judgement against one of them.

In this case it appears that this builder buys the houses in a company name El Amanecer Inverciones Corp and then rent the house from the corporation they own but they really dont own.

Only in Florida, people are so dumb and dont care, any normal state in the Northeast or Midwest they would be sniffed out immediately

If anyone has another builder they want me to research its fun to watch the puzzle pieces come together. All the info is available in the states court records and business ownership sites.
