Beware Matt Work's Marine Carpet

2 Attachment(s)
I had purchased a custom cockpit carpet from them about a year and a half ago . I am a very clean person so the carpet was never abused but after laying up for the winter I went to remove the carpet to clean the floor underneath and found the 3/4's of the backing had melted to my non-skid. The boat never sat out in the sun and had seen very little traffic. I called Matt works and asked them about this and they simply stated power wash it out , so after 4 hours of scrubbing and power washing my non-skid still has bits of rubber backing all over it . What ever they used was no where near as good as oem fountain . I have never had this problem with any of my boats before and the customer service was as expected Non existent .

i remember that picture in another thread. What did you wind up doing to get the rest out? and did you try the goof off? i swear by that stuff! there is another material for flooring i plan on using for mine but dont know the name off hand. I will look up and edit post later. But basically it's like a material dust dirt and water flow through but not hold like a carpet based nylon cut pile type. Hopefully no else had this issue with Matts Work Marine carpets. who likes spending 4 hours to clean anything?
