And now for the rest of the story...
Cliff Notes: The boat does exist, was not a scam, and is currently sitting in my pole barn with a free and clear Ohio Title. I called Johnny (seller) and yes there was a bit of a language barrier to deal with, but he was very accommodating. He was mostly disgruntled with tire kickers and people who couldn’t scrape the cash together. When I called him he was two days from leaving for Lauderdale for the winter and was taking the boat with him. He personally paid to bring the boat into the US and paid to have it stored in a marina down here. Flew to FLL and personally inspected the boat after having a survey performed (passed with flying colors, btw). Made him a no bullchit cash offer and he accepted, however the entire deal hinged on buying him chicken wings and beer :ernaehrung004: Went to the bank and handed him a cashers check, no international wire BS. He even paid to re-winterize the boat for the trip back north. Took my bill of sale and Canadian registration (which was in his wife’s name) to my DMV and they wrote me an Ohio Title for the boat.
