STOLEN 353 fas tech. grand lake.

Last week they stole the formula and took interior, engines 500hps,drives. Then dumped boat back from where it was stolen in the water. Boat was found upside down floating. So far 5000 dollar reward. It was stolen from a friend of mine sales lot. 918 320 9869.

jeff32 11-07-2014 05:34 PM

So, the thieves went back with the boat where they stole it, and lauched it in the water...
They hoped to get caught or what???
Crazy thieves...

Eliminatorshane 11-07-2014 05:40 PM

Yep. Sounds fishy but yep!!!.

badmonkey 11-08-2014 06:50 AM

This number is for Fibertek Marine Repair in the Industrial Park, a couple of miles from the water. Where was the sales lot?

Eliminatorshane 11-24-2014 12:11 PM

It was over by williams yacht group. I am fibertek marine.

Thieves stole it, stripped it, and returned to launch a boat with no drives at the location where it was stolen. Strangely not taking the time to strip the K planes or T-plates but preferring to use their time to trailer it back and relaunch it instead. Interesting scenario.

Eliminatorshane 12-11-2014 10:27 PM

Yep. Actually found out last week they didn't take the drives. Nine of it makes sense too me. Oh well I guess let insurance deal with it... Just don't like that it was at a friends lot and it happened too him.

Bawana 12-11-2014 11:07 PM

I m getting that some of these guys think there is something:479::479: fishy going on???????

Quick2500 12-11-2014 11:09 PM

Not to be a dick or stir the pot, but I can guarantee my thoughts are the same as the cops and the insurance company's. Inside job.

Bawana 12-11-2014 11:13 PM

Come on, with the way boats are selling like hot cakes these days, and especially this time of year................ No way

That'd make it more of a submarine?

Eliminatorshane 12-12-2014 09:06 AM

I I couldn't agree more.. if it is inside the insurance companies are very good at this stuff. Then I find our drives are on it which add up over 15 grand with steering and boxes etc.. also what pissed me off the lot it was stolen from he was just doing gut a favor and this happens. I don't know anyone who would return to the ramp across from the lot and dump it unless they felt comfy

Gotta know where the cameras are. Or lack thereof.

Did they all happen to be pointed the wrong direction?

abmotorman 12-12-2014 04:26 PM

Can you fish an engine out of a 353 without pulling drives? If not, someone wanted new engines. I can't imagine a thief saying "lets put the drives back on so it floats when we bring it back".

SB 12-12-2014 05:10 PM

A person a few miles from me ran into business and personal bankruptcy.

Bank foreclosed on both.

This person stripped the roof, massive doors, and most of the walls off the few year new very large commercial garage on the property.

Mind you, this is right on a main street.

Amazing what some do when they are going 'down for the count.'

Pretty sure you can, they slide right out of a 382

1. Steal your own boat and take out the engines and interior.
2. Leave drives on so that it doesn't get flooded.
3. Get paid by insurance company.
4. Buy back your boat on the cheap since it has no engines or interior, but didn't sustain water damage (in theory anyway)
5. Put engines and interior back in over time.
6. Voila- Owner's boat is now paid for free and clear!

Wanna bet?

Eliminatorshane 12-12-2014 10:56 PM

Sounds like a winner^^^^ still pisses me off cuz it was at a friends. .

Well, if it is inside job (I am sure it is) why not at least take drives too, Fas-techs wont sink totally so fuk it lol

cig92 12-13-2014 10:27 AM

boats don't get stollen these days, they get stripped and parted out and buy back from insurance for pennies on the dollar like others have said here. times are still a bit tough and people are looking for a way out or a way to make their payments cheaper. explains why my insurance goes up every year with not one single claim, ever.

Maybe a good time for some good ol fashion water boarding.
