Isn't that something you check prior to selling a boat? what did you give the new owner for paperwork?

This is where I am headed. That was something when I bought the boat that was a fast check and now being with a broker for the sale of my boat it was prob one of the first questions asked.

What is the new owner using for proof of ownership

So you're saying that you'll sell a boat for someone with out checking to see if they're the owner, with out any paper work, then when you sell it and get the money if the seller doesn't come up with the title you're going to just keep the money from the sale? You're just entitled to it in your mind or what? Is that some loop hole in AZ law? Because if you tried that here in CA you'd be not only out of business but probably behind bars. If there's a lien on the boat you're suppose to pay that lien off and clear the title and hand it to the new owner. I'm sure you know that.
