So the real user needs to contact one of us here. I see no other option besides removing that user/name.

Phone VoIP service providers can give ya a phone number anywhere you want now days. He could be in BFE with a NYC number. Also caller ID is useless now cause is so easily be spoofed. I see that one daily on marketing calls. But as you've caught on, refusing to accept PayPal is a red flag. Offering to come pick it up was a great way to verify it's a scammer. Nice catch.

Best anyone can do these days is go by smell. If it smells funny, your likely about to get ......

Always be careful of the scam guys who typically work Craigslist but they will call or tx and offer asking price and is exactly what they want. There next step is they have all mo IRS arranged to be transferred or sent via PayPal however they'd add on an extra 500.00 for their driver/pick up guy. Just need to ninja him over 500.00 and the rest of the transaction will follow. I caufhtcon quickly as my first experience was a Florida zip code buying a snowmobile in February. Wtf. I hate Craigslist. Scammers everywhere on there. If I ever catch to any bump and stump from the east side will be on it without question.

Getting bad. But again this one here would have really caught me by surprise.
