My spidey sense is going off a little here..
I placed a wanted ad the other day; http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/w...ull-cover.html
I got a reply, see attached.
I then thanked him and proceeded to email the "seller"
The emails I got back from the seller are a bit strange and dont address any questions I asked.
Anyone think this is a little weird?

Nothing suspicious (in my opinion) people don't read the details of emails, they just pick up the bits they like. He likes the idea he can off-load his unwanted cover. I bought my current boat from a dealer and he never answered half the questions I asked him.

I'd ask for a few pics and see if someone nearby can take a quick look to see it's decent.

Americans aren't shifty are they? Can't you just trust everyone nowadays? :(

Always listen to that little voice in the back of your head.

Before jumping to conclusions on the guy, just ask for a phone #. If he's a serious seller, he'll have no problem talking over the phone and answering your questions. If you get an uncomfortable feeling after your phone convo, I'd move on and forget the guy.

Agreed, thats how I usually handel things of this nature. I just posted in the off chance to see if it sounded familiar to anyone; just being cautious. I've never been burned and dont plan on it anytime soon.

I just called the number which in fact in the correct area code, no answer and the automated message said, " the textmail subscriber your trying to reach in unavailable, please leave a message after the tone".... Textmail??
