It had XR drives on it, I believe 5 blade maximus props, and the best part, a BENT tie bar, wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl.

I'm not a lawyer, but I think when he cashed your check with the VIN clearly written on it, that was then YOUR boat, he no longer had any rights to it. When he cashed that check, your offer was accepted! You do not need a written contract to have a contract. Actually when he accepted your deposit, the deal was locked in. That idiot should be happy you didn't sue him! I really hate scum bags like this. Either way, there are other nice boats out there, but this guy is a low life.
yet he told Scott that the boat had delamination and it was going to be a much more costly repair and he was dealing with the other persons insurance company... what a f'ing scumbag

He sold me a blown JL audio amp, then blamed me for hooking it up wrong, Ive been installing stereo gear for a while now, sent it to JL to be repaired and they said no way the damage was from the install, besides I hooked the other 3 up correctly, 120 bucks later it was fixed, this was a couple yrs ago and didnt make a big deal out of it......

I know the boat ended up in Kansas, I saw it at The Shootout. Apparently whoever bought it from Rob sold it again. When I seen it it looked at sounded good. The new name is Wicked One.
