32 Black Thunder
I was doing a little shopping on boat trader and ran across a 32 Black Thunder. Never knew they made anything this small. Just wondering if anyone on the board owns one or know's when they started and stopped making them?? As well as anything good or bad.

Re: 32 Black Thunder
I have a 1991 XL320 and am very happy with the boat. It handles the rough water well at LOTO for its size. There are probably a half dozen of these at LOTO. I believe the 32 was started in 1987 but the oldest I've seen was a 1990 and the newest a 1995. Mine has twin 454 mags but I've seen 502's as well as standard 454's and a single 502. For its age the gel coat still shines and others cannot believe how solid it is.

Re: 32 Black Thunder
I looked at one at LOTO a few years back. I did not like the cockpit set up at all. The back seat sits very high and partially above the engines and the sunpad is as small as a 20' boat.

Re: 32 Black Thunder
That's where it all started for me. Bought one in '91 at the STL boat show. It was blue and white.
The reason I liked it was because it had a bigger cockpit than any other offshore of the day. Ran fast then -70 MPH on 454 mags. Decent cabin. The sun pad was small of course due to the extra seating. If not for that boat I'm not sure what business I'd be in today. Terry Sobo |

Re: 32 Black Thunder
Some what surprised they no longer offer anything in this size. I relly love the lines on this boat. Any idea of how many were built?? Don't seem to be many around (or at least not for sale).

No, not inferring that. Had to put my Midnight on the BT forum. |
