The SC is Sport Crusier. The EC is Extended Cockpit. You can add two extra bolsters with the EC as an option. In 97 BT went to a stepped hull and wood cabinents in the cabin. The 43 and 46 have identical cabins. Most of the length is in the swim platform to cover Bravo drives on extension boxes. EC is a twin Bravo boat only. The SC can be Twins with transmissions or Tripplies with Bravo's.

EC Models
 
Prior to 1999 Black Thunder didnt offer an extened cockpit. So if the 43 is earlier than that it would be smaller.
