James, tabs down 7/8 of the way, drives all the way down, feather the throttles not over 4000 Rpm until you are @ 15 MPH with a light load or a little faster with a heavier load. When the speed is right SLOWLY start the tabs up. When the props catch ease the throttles to 3500 RPM. When you hear the fist step break suction you are on plane. Tab and trim accordingly after you are on plane. Small increments at a time.

Thanks for the info.......We tried all different ways to get on plain and putting the tabs half way down and throttle up to 3000 rpm and wait for it to plain out then raise the tabs worked great for the boat. Very strange feeling half way thru the process the boat will just pop out of the water.

Glad to hear everything went well. It will take some getting used to but you'll be all right. Looking forward to having some fun this summer.
