Finally got the 46 SC

Well I finally have the 46BT. It is such a nice boat. It ran 72 mph on flat river GPSed during survey. It will most likely never see that speed again . I am a 40-45 cruiser, old guy....lol..

I have to get use to the tab and all that since coming from a cruiser. It is on The BT web site-- the top right hand boat with the checkered flag along it side and multi-colored.

Thanks for all the good info,,,

welecome to power boating

Well with 4 hrs, I blew the lower end of my port drive. The other drive was replaced 10 hrs ago. So I guess I will be good to go for other 200 hrs!!

Darn, I am not ever hard on it coming up on plane.

Beside this I still love the BT.

Bear..with that size and weight of a boat you need something with a transmission..That will give you piece of mind as well as trouble free boating.

Jassman, I've been doing this boat thing a llllong time. I've bought used and brand new. Never heard of "trouble free boating"!!!! Is that in the boating dictionary?? LMAO!!!!!!

Bear442 07-06-2009 01:41 PM

like??? What are all the other BT running? Should I be considering changing outdrives? When I save some more money LOL

endeavor1 07-06-2009 03:38 PM

Ive knocked out a BMAX while loading up on the trailer once. I finally sent both my drives in to get completely rebuilt. New everything. These boats are just heavy and you have to be extra gentle from what i m learning. After thorough discussion though, i think we d all be alot better off with 6 drives. They just cost a lil to much for my blood right now... :lolhit:

Im keeping my fingers crossed, 150 hrs and praying.

I have XR's now on the back and have no problems at all so far, just take it easy and like anything it will break if you beat the crap out of it.

You should be looking at the one Shogrens has right now, far nicer boat IMO, newer, could be cheaper too......

Someone mentioned that in another thread. I think Shogrens claimed it was a different type of oil..............???

Looks like milk to me.

wet_rat 07-21-2009 04:32 AM

you both are right....I mentioned that in another thread. I have talked to Scott about that boat. We met on numbers but then I started to feel like I was being BSed. Supposedly that was Torque oil and the empty bottle was due to the drive being removed to put a new seal kit in it. I mentioned to Scott two things I wanted answered.....1. what lowers are on the drives? 2. Kinda suspicious that the drive that is removed is missing the rear tip of the skeg, what do you know about that? "Didn't notice that, I'll check and let you know." Never heard a word again. Hmmmmmmm? Seen Shogren's ebay feedback %? 93% WTF?
