Whats the guy do? We have been looking to upgrade but I just dont see how some of these guys are financing 300k boats. Are they financing these out on 30 years as like a home or what? I mean even on 30 years thats like a $2400/mo payment. Not sure what the cost of living is in that area to but base salaries may be alot higher. Our area is about 45k median salary and homes are 105/sqft brand new. So even making a killer salary and living it up in our area it is hard to purchase a 300k boat. Where as someone living in atl making 300k a year living in the same size home and same debt to equity ratio could more easily afford one.

I doubt he paid near $300K for that boat. It was repoed, sold, and then who knows. Prob paid below $200K. Heck, he might be in the beach oil clean up business! LOL

$189,000 on yacht world.... I would have to sell my house and my truck. Then it would be mine! Let's see
$189,000 @ 7% on 5 years = $3742/mo
$189,000 @ 7% on 20 years = $1465/mo
$189,000 @ 7% on 30 years = $1257/mo

kyboy,
Don't stress yourself over how these guys afford the toys they have. Most boats in that range are bought with cash. Takes some big dollars to keep up a boat like that or similar. And most of them have low hours and hardly ever get used. Just enjoy what you have. Used to drive me nuts too, but I bought a 38' boat at age 25, so just be patient, some day it will be our turn. :coolcowboy:

I got a 31 ft boat at 25 and it is a ton to keep up with especially with a new born.... My dream boat is the black thunder though
