I'm thinking this same thing. Boats this size don't just disappear or blend in.

In still cant believe they havent found it yet! Not your typical boat. It wont bring the guy back from the dead but at least if he's found justice will be served. How can anyone look behind their boat and see that they've hit someone and get into the throttles? Sad.

I doubt it. There would be a debris field. If you had 20 minutes to sink your boat, could you do it?

Unless you put a hole at the bow and stern, the bow of the boat would stick up and not go completely under. This is just based from every accident I have seen personally. It seems every V and Cat have the front of the boats holding it up.

Who has the necessary tools onboard to sink their boat? I dont.

The lake isn't deep at all. I dont think there is anywhere more than 75 feet deep. Most of it is 30-35 feet deep.

Law enforcement was searching the lake heavily. They would have seen some sort of debris field from a boat sinking. He didn't have time to secure everything for a sinking.

My OPINION....

The police on the water were searching hard while the guy was back on the trailer and backing it into the garage. My OPINION is that the 2 agencies, meaning the one on the water and the city PD were not talking together too well early on. I have no proof or any info on this, but to me it is the only theory that makes sense. He got off the water and the local PD was not looking for him yet. From the ramp to a garage in Havasu could be as little as 3-5 minutes if he launched close to where he keeps the boat.

Lake Havasu PD is completely different than the agencies on the water. On the water, you also have a CA agency and an AZ agency because the lake sits on the border.

I have been followign this story- horrible and i hope justice is brought to the guilty party - soon !

I boat in Havasu very frequently, and I have in fact seen a White 24 Fountain with Fountain on the side within the last 3 weeks.

I remembered it because I do not think there were a lot of them sold and I remember thinking I had not seen a 24 for a long time.

I have rarely seen any 29's on the lake, and in fact, overall there are not a lot of Fountains at the lake in general, so I like the idea of getting with Game and Fish and looking at all Fountains fron 24 to 32 (which, I beleive would be 3 models, the 24, the 29 and the 32) and starting to interview the Owners. I am taking a wild guess at this but if the thtal for Arizona was more than 100 potential boats I would be shocked.

Of course, the one immediate problem is that there are a large number of California Boats at the lake as well, if you included them I suspect the number would increase substantially.

I hope that the Authorities aprehend this person.

Anyone hear any new information on this?

Yes a 24' Fountain is a rare sight, especially on Havasu.

Don't forget the 27
