As well as not wearing a safety bouyancy aid, I wonder if this 11 year old girl driving this boat at 75 mph was wearing a kill cord?

I think she did have a vest on,other than she should have had a hand on the throttles she drives better than some of the other videos I have seen on this site

Looks like a life jacket to me.

Obviously the same Y2K that people raised a stink about because of another video. Its also obvious from the camera angle that dad is right behind her. She has a PFD on and most likely has the kill lanyard on as well. Water is a nice even chop.

There's no reasonable justification for a 11 year-old to be behind the wheel of any high-performance boat.

And I'm doubting that at the speed they were running that she made a swift panic turn at that bridge opening. I'd like to see the rest of the tape.

My guess is she's not on the list of named operators on the boat's insurance policy either.

I was driving boats at 10 years old with close on board supervision and jet ski's alone when I was 12. It wasn't going 75mph, but it wasn't a 30 footer either.

Teach them young and teach them correctly. My 6 year old is already in training. He drives the boat at a fast idle and has driven it at slow planing speeds......with very close supervision and instruction.

I started driving boats before 10 but within reach of the old man at all times, only in a 16' open bow or the fishing boat. Hell by 12 or 13, I was tooling around the lake in a 16' fishing boat with a 9.9 tiller by myself.

None of the boats I have had ever had a list of named operators on the policy either.

I doubt that this was the first time she has done this.The boat was trimmed right,there was no one around and she seemed pretty comfortable.I would rather run next to her than some guy who just bought a new boat with big power and did not take the time to lean how to drive it.Also I have two 11 sons who would like her phone number can any one help them out:D

I have a 15 year old boy, two 11 year old boys and one 11 year old girl so I know what you are talking about.But I feel bad for the guy who doesn't do right by the girl in this video she will probably kick his azz
