NYS "Brianna's Law" question

Hello, does anyone have specific information on the just signed (8/7/2019) "Brianna's Law" referring to mandatory Boating Safety requirements for NYS residents??

Caught bits of speak about it on some news venues, but as typical for New York it would not occur to the Gov to send registered boat owners a heads up notice about the requirements. There was the SeaDoo law a few years back that took most a while to figure out. Libtard governance, one tard mistake and all the responsible folks must jump thru the hoop. I took a Coast Guard Aux course 56 years ago at the age of ten. wonder if that gets me the pass.

I recently completed the NYS boating safety course. I am a new boater so I found it useful. All operators regardless of age will need a boating safety certificate by 1.1.2025. I think there are more details at parks.ny.gov
