Default Haulover inlet to Chub Cay

Planning a trip to Chub Cay Thursday June 7th. I will have 500 gallons of fuel on board so that wont be a problem. Biggest question is it safer to go over the north end of Bimini or cut through at south Bimini between Bimini and the Sapona?

Several members have made this trip. If you post this in general discussion forum you will likely get some solid info.

I'd head North of Bimini...deeper water and less to worry about. However, if looking for a rest/break point going South by the Sapona would be the route...just watch your depth. We're planning another run over to Bimini next week (pending weather) and that week (prob 6/10 or 6/11)....how long ya gonna be around. We'll be zigzagging around the Sapona, Honeymoon Harbour and the Hilton. Look for a 37' Formula (blue & white) or PM me... would like to see some different things.

You think a Formula 206 could make the trip with some extra fuel? Single 350?
