any tripple OB engine 27' carrera's running around???
 

are they any tripple outboard motor 27 carreras around looks like my only problem would be with the tabs starving the motors of water .... moving them more out would work but wanted to see if anyone has done it and what was the ouctome..

i have twin 225 mercs 3l ...turning them into 300s soon but just wanted to know because these motors are relativly cheap ...

are you talking about tripple 3.0 liters?? good luck with that....all that weight so far back on that small of a boat will make it extremely ill handling.... nose flighty and porpoise machine are two poor handling charachteristics that come to mind....

sell your 225s and hang a pair of 300x motors in there place and you will have something fast and reliable.....

ivan2214, I first had a pair of '98 PM 300 , boat ran 71 GPS. Switched to '03 300X's ... 80GPS . Very big difference between each motor. The tags on my 300X list the weight as 444 ! "HIGH LIFE"

im redoing a bunch of stuff on the boat as it was outdated on alot of things so its getting a full JL audio system,New silver carbon fiber interior and bolster ,new canvas motors painted new livorsi custom gauges and gaffrid throttles so spending 20k+ for a pair of x's is not do-able right now ... high life post some pics and info on set-up
