Back on water but with stock power for now
 

We threw in a stock 454 while I take apart my 509 and see what the hell happened to it,
with a 24p Bravo, 3 200+ guys and 200 gallons of fuel it ran a scalding 59mph today..
Oh well at least its running..

Good to see your back on the water even if your a lil slower. We had this conversation at a pokerrun the other day and its amazing how many people own/use their boat but would be completely fukt and have no options if they broke something. You've earned my respect and I hope you get it all figured out soon.

Ran the poker run saturday with a 24p Bravo it was getting on plane with 6 people and 200gallons of fuel,ran same mph fully loaded , Im thinking once I get down to half tank and just me it should run low 60s, not bad for a stocker backup engine..
I do need a bigger oil cooler than the stock one that came on that engine, oil temps were higher than I would like.

valve seat fell out of this exhaust valve, got chewed up and pieces pulled thru intake into adjoining cylinders

update, ran it today by myself on 3/4 tank and there was a good amount of chop,
ran 62.3 with wind and 61.8 against wind,,feel much better now, 62 just sounds much faster than 59mph!!!!!!!!! LOL...

sorry to here about the motor, what did you run for a 5 blade a p5 or px 5. I am having porpoising issues with the saber not sure if I need a stern lifting prop now. the 5 and 4 blades get on plane all right, but I had to run tabs down all the way to stop it. it might be to much weight out back. tranny heavy drive plus gas tank is behind sea. and its getting cold out. we had to replace the starter but sparked it and blew the msd box. so how is your prop and ride . art

On the supercharge3d setup I ran a P5

a p5 or px5 1st is a transom lifting prop the x is bow lifting like a merc max. did you try any of those? your a 3'' propshaft height right, Iam having issues. I get up on plane easy with the herring/px5 slip a little with the b1. at 3''. 8'' box. but running 30 to 50 ,I PORPOISE hard and needed to run 280 tabs all the way down. could not force my bow down. so tomorrow I have the 380 tabs 1'' spacer, then a 2'' longer lower to try thanks to konrad:coolcowboy:. so I hope its not the tranny being in the box causing the bow to porpoise. do you need to try one of my props and I could try your p5. no one has one around here in mass, no even OL. I not sure if I have to much bow lift. cause the boat with no tab would bounce so much it would leap out of the water:eek:. call me if you want art at 617 833 3327. I have lots of parts for sale too.
