If those 440's were factory, that was a pretty bad boat back in its day. I'd be all over it if it was closer. fun project.

Yeah,me too,, its in my town,, couple years ago I saw it,it was mint, they had just had it buffed and detailed.. Ever since then they let it sit out at the lake but never used it..Shame..

I'm sure if it was not winterized this past winter it for sure has cracked blocks. very cold winter in Texas.

Been here ten years, have yet to winterize any of my boats..
;)
I do throw a lightbulb in if we get a hard feeze.. Being right on the lake helps as well..

I am a dealer and seen three boats from people who have moved to the DFW area from Austin just this spring. Guess what all did not winterize and all 3 had cracked blocks. One V-6 and 2 V-8's. Anyone who did not winterized here 100 % has a cracked block internal or external. Also some even have crack engine blocks that used marine bilge heaters because electric went out up here about 5 times this past winter and some had no electric for a week straight.

I have a 30 Cobalt out in Cal area that I need to bring home so I might head down to look at this rough 30 just in case I think it might be worth buying as I might need something off of it. Thank you.

Yeah,,winter here is not as brutal as youalls up there.
Couple hundred miles further south makes a difference and being next to the lake helps as well. Only time I remember anyone cracking a block was years ago when we had a solid week of 17-20deg weather. Hasnt been that bad in years though. I can take a look at it for you if you want, just let me know.

these boats had outside storage not in town at different spots. not on or by the lake either plus trailer boats18 ft to 22 ft boats. they got hurt blocks this winter from the outside Austin area.

might drive down or fly in to check the boat out will let you know. thx

also have a boat in a v-6 mercruiser from San Antonio area cracked exhaust manifolds and a huge external block and head cracked on one side from not winterizing. Who would of thought from there it would get hurt especially that bad. Worst one I seen so far..
