Checkmate enforcer
anyone alse have a mid eighty's Checkmate Enforcer ?
i have been toying with the idea of changing the intake on mine , 454/330 , its a 1988 Checkmate enforcer I/O 24ft the problem is carberator clearence , it looks like the engine is set real high , not leaving any space for a taller then stock manifold , on the underside of the engine hatch the supports are even cut out to clear the risers (no spacer blocks either , just the manifolds and risers) anyone ever tackled this project on this model? i'd feel kinda like a poser having a big ol scoupe on my hatch and only putting out a lil more then stock kinda horsies thanks in advance for any help guys |
I was part owner of a 89 24 enforcer, that we pretty much totally restore. The boat ran a best gps speed of 84. We ended up putting a hatch scoop so the blower would fit. If you are only looking for a few inches of clearance you could cut the wood out in the hatch above the carb. Good luck with the boat, mine was a fun boat to drive.
