What prop for a 253 with 825 hp?

Well I finally got my engine back from the dyno shop. 825 hp @6200 rpms and 763 ft. lbs. torque @ 5200 rpms. Anyone have any ideas where to start for a prop? 30 or 32 pitch Bravo 1 or Hydromotive? I don't have the money for a labbed prop this year. I blew way too much on the engine and other mods. Running a stock height Xr drive. Anybody have any experience with this hull and hp? I would like to stay with a four blade prop. Thanks.:ernaehrung004:

I had a 253 with bigger power and a 1:36 drive ratio. I had really good success with a Hydromtoive q4. i ran a 26 for all around and a 28 when I wanted to go fast.

I have a 259 with 725 hp. I run a labbed 25" Hydromotive P5X and love it. I have run that prop with a standard length Imco but now run a-2 Imco. It worked perfectly with both lowers.

Hey Vinny, What kind of increase in speed did the shorty Imco give you? Any planing issues? I was thinking of one for next year.

I got about 2-3 mph increase with no handling issues at all. Jumps right up on plane as well. BUT, I am running a 5 blade. I never tried the shorty with a 4 blade.
