It looks like the ZT 240 is still on the web site so my guess is the 244ZT is just another offering? From what I have been reading the old H2X was a big seller for Baja so it makes sense to me to continue making the boat under the Checkmate name if Faja does not want to make them. In todays market there is no time to hold back. My take is Checkmate said lets offer it and see what sells. The boats are totally different, Checkmate is trying to bring in a crowd that likes that style boat. I can not blame them one bit.

Change sucks but lets all be glad these boats are MADE IN AMERICA! I think it is great to see an American company trying to expand its market share unlike many other manufactures which are cutting there boat lines, especially in the under 30' range.

Just my .02
Peace,
Rob

Outside opinion, the look of the new 244ZT (they are H2X molds, thats not the boats name now, period) caused this boater to look at Checkmates when I never would have before.

Thats a fact.

I also believe they will be selling both 24' models, so really, why get all riled up?
