I just bought my 1st boat a 92 CONVINCOR 251 if u can't tell by my user name, and would like to see about getting a manual or spec's some where but not real sure where to look . THANKS

Congrats on the new boat. My second boat was a 89- 251 CONVINCOR had a lot of fun with that boat.

Go to checkmates website and e-mail with what your looking for. They are very helpful.

Oh yeah congrats on the new boat. I bought my first boat back in november, a 97 zt280.

The folks at Checkmate are very helpfull. Checkmate 300 on this board will get you an original catalog from 1992. They sent me one for my 229. They support their boats long after the sale.
Good luck with the 251. It's a great hull which will handle all the HP you can throw at it.
I'm looking to move up to a 251 or 253 as soon as someone buys my 229. Welcome to the Checkmate family.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. What power is in that 251? My friend owns an '89 251, we just did the motor this winter. Can't wait til the weather gets a little better to see what it will do. Mine is '99 259, basically stock 454 magnum. I get 67-68 G.P.S. , 70 - 73 speedo. Great boat. For the money, I don't think you can beat Checkmate.

Last season my boat ran a best of 75.2gps @5150rpm with a Hydromotive 4 blade 26p. The motor was a stock and come to find out very worn out HP500 carb.

I pick the motor up from the builder this week. I'll post some dyno results next weekend. I hope the boat does 78 or so with the new motor. I can't wait to hit the water!!

Convincor, where exactly in West Michigan? Quite a few Checkmate owners that way, including myself.

That's a sweet looking Starflite Berman. That's what I started looking at when I bought the 229. Just wanted a small lake/river boat. Now the 229's for sale and looking for bigger faster!!

Thanks checkmate454mag My friends boat has a 496 in it runs 75mph 6000rpm he's still playing with props and trying to find a shorter drive. He's bolting on a set of JIM V full ported merlins ovals, so will see.


My boat has 454 365hp mag perfomer rpm intake,lighting headers I beleive its pretty much stock 23 3 blade bravo prop. I'v been havein carb trouble last summer still has the rotchester on it best I got was 68mph 5100 rpm light chop. Might be the driver b
ecause this is my 1st time playing with tabs .
