what to look for in a 98 253.
 

going to look at a 253 convincor with a 454 mag efi in it tomorrow. and was wondering what they are known for having wrong with them. any help would be great thanks.

That is a well built boat theirs nothing I herd of being problem spots. The only thing that you have to worry about is how the previous owners took care of it. 500 hours on a engine in a boat that size means the engine is very tired and it wont be long before it needs a rebuild. If it was used in salt water find another boat it wont be nothing but problems.

Their is no reson that boat cant still look new if it was taken care of

How did it look. I'm assuming this is the one in Plattsburgh that you looked at?

boat looked good and i bought it last august...the boat was actually in the 1000 islands...over by saint A bay... boat just turned 500 hours..no problems yet except a dead battery...lol...runs like a top and looks mint just faded alittle...
