Any idea when it moved to MO? I'm assuming it's there since it's being brokered there.

Valako appears to have a good reputation and been around a while, too.

Seems strange that he traded it in 2 months ago in Michigan and now it's being brokered at LOTO. Maybe they figure it'll sell their sooner. ??

Do you know any more about its history? I'm curious if the hours are right (250) and if it's a solid piece.

I'm sure it's fast with that power but.......... 44K+?

There was a 30' Checkmate with big power in MI that had a hole punched in the hull. Not sure if this is the boat but that might explain the apparently low price?

I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it might explain why it's being sold elsewhere.

Amazing boat, one of the best checkmates out there! I personally have rode, and drove this boat. Handles likes its on rails!. Eats rough water up. Super fast and even more reliable. I have seen 98 any time we wanted. Best of 101.7! He traded it on a boat from Loto so thats the reason it went there. I actually put the two in touch with each other and they made the deal at my house. The hull is perfet, no worries. The price is correct in this economy. Not a steal for some and not a rip off for others. But I guarantee you whoever buys this checkmate will be extremely happy! Jump on it before someone else does.

Interesting machine, to say the least. What did Valako do to the motors to get that power out of them?

They are 540's with 345 dart pro one heads with extensive mods with cmi big tube headers 5 in to much to list. If ecomony was good I would have kept the checkmate and the bt. Wife wanted a bogger boat. I loved the boat you have to see it to appreciate it.Probality the cleanest 97 out there because it was a mi boat only got used 4 to 5 months out of year,since new always it a heated shop.Never left in water unless we were staying on in. Always got wiped down after use and put back in garage.

Good cams lifters rockers are at jims waiting on heads from dart we kind of got something special going on jim got a good project going with dart these should be more impressive tan the old boat should have one on the dyno before christmas just been real busy like always that's why I don't get on the computer much ill keep you posted how about you that's been up

went to plant yesterday and they said we will pick jobs in january and back in plant in march. still to long!!

Keytime the boat is still for sale, I am the current owner. I live in missouri, and the best place to sell a boat is at the lake of the ozarks. What offshorexcursion and ryan9154 said is all true, I have boat priced to move quickly, because I presently own two boats.

Thanks for the info. I likely won't be making any moves very soon. My boat is doing well and I'll probably stick with it for a while. But the advertisement/discussion here certainly doesn't hurt. I still may drop by to check it out sometime, if that's ok. I'm a fan of fast Checkmates.

Driving through Osage Beach to pick up my boat on the way back to Kansas last night and was surprised to see the 303. Stopped to look at it and it looks clean for sure. It shows like someone took good care of it. I hadn't seen extensions welded on to K-planes before. Interesting.

1997 is still for sale guys, will be able to test drive here soon with weather
