Startup problems
 

I tried to start my engines between the rain this week end. I just finished putting on Whipples. I think I missed putting the distributers back in the right way. The port side started to belch gas out of the carb and when I tried to start the starboard it wanted to back fire. I gave up and dropped it off. I hope I didn't hurt anything.

When the motors were started the Whipples were screaming. Checked everything out and found both intake manifolds had not sealed to the heads. When I was installing them I thought the manifolds were too wide for the motor. I had to pull them in with the bolts. Just torquing to their specs.I had to wait three extra weeks for the Whipples because Whipple was having problems gitting the manifolds. I think they missed when machining the manifolds. Anybody else have problems or info about this?

I'm blown, but with B&M...so can't offer much help. I would post this in the Tech Section......You'll probably get a quicker response as more people read that section.
